Our Love Story

You have all been such a huge part of our lives and our life together and we cannot wait for you to be apart of this special day, take a look back at our memorable moments.

WE FIRST MET – SEEMS LIKE YESTERDAY!

Garth and Sarah met on the night of her 17th birthday party. Garth ‘crashed’ the party and stole the limelight by lighting up the room and making Sarah laugh all night. The two hit it off immediately, and became inseparable. They were instantly completely smitten with each other, and have been best friends and partners ever since.

OUR FIRST TRIP TOGETHER

At 19, fresh out of high school, Sarah convinced Garth to pack a bag and come travelling around Europe with her. They were told by everyone it would be the trip that would ‘make or break’ their relationship… and it definitely made it! Almost 6 months and 27 countries later, the two came home to New Zealand with a serious travel bug, and have since travelled to Las Angeles, Las Vegas and New York together.

… AND HE FINALLY PROPOSED!

Garth asked Sarah to be his wife on Sarah’s 25th birthday on a beautiful trip to New York City. He had the day planned perfectly, with a bike ride around central park, a walk through the highline, and then Champagne in a rooftop hotel suite, where he got down on one knee and popped the question!

Right before Garth proposed, while walking on the highline, they met a gorgeous couple who were travelling NYC for their 50th wedding anniversary. The gentleman took a photo of them and said he hoped one day they would know what 50 years of love and marriage would feel like. Little did Sarah know less than an hour later she would be on her way to being a future wife.

Sarah and Garth are getting married just before their 10-year anniversary. They are high school sweethearts, been by each other’s sides through thick and thin, and they are so grateful to have each other. They look forward to sharing this special day with you.
